Almost 36 is almost 40? Don’t take almost half our 30’s away!
This is my biggest struggle with German. 3 genders and then plurals, cases etc that can change it again.

You just have a strong association of the smell with seeing it. Your brain is constantly hallucinating your reality to match what it’s expectations are.
Clearly this person put a lot of thought into this but I dk if things being chronologically accurate mattered.
