3·6 days agoI was listening to a podcast (informal morning show from one of the guys who founded roosterteeth) and he talked about how he got off Twitter and Facebook and everything well before the pandemic… but has been needing to get back on them just to connect with others in his community.
So basically this for a modern age?

82·8 days agoThats because too many people sit on their ass waiting for other people to take care of it for them.
Coincidentally a lot of them are the same ones who call for violent action (and not all of them lean right).
These actions only work if a majority of citizens actually take them, not sit back and complain about how they dont work because things dont magically get fixed the instant a minority of people do it once.

5·9 days agoOne time someone shouted at me from their truck that they didn’t like my shirt. It wasn’t a sports shirt and didn’t have any logos at all. I think it was just baggier than they liked.
Sometimes people just dont like things being different.

That sounds more like “If I have to do attribution, I’d rather it be with a link instead of watermarks”, based on the context of the post. Not that they want to attribute, just if they have to, do it in a way they prefer.
Ahhh, okay, haven’t seen it sorry 😅
Though dont look especially stubby, the one nearer has some perspective issues as well, and appears to be folded into towards the body so would be roughly average compared to head size. The other is hanging down and looks to be roughly the same length.
Are you going off head size or body length? Cause the former looks well proportioned while the latter would look a little creepy to be honest…
Localized entirely on… well okay it’s federated so not really localized.
It doesn’t seem like they were either.

I think scale matters. A year is quite a lot longer than a week or two. It’s easy to consider both the next Thursday you’re going to encounter and the one after that as subjectively “soon”. The same can not be said of a month at least nine months away.
I would agree that your ruleset works on a longer timescale, but not on a shorter one. There’s too much ambiguity and crossover for it to work properly. Having exclusivity in definition allows for better communication, especially for something much more personal like something sooner rather than later.
