Apparently there’s a name for it, eustachian tube dysfunction, which I just stumbled upon when confirming how to spell eustachian

Oof, that’s my fear. Mine have been popping non-stop for 20 years because my eustachian tubes don’t drain right.
Sometimes I have to pinch my nose and blow air into them to get them to drain a little, and I’m always worried about bursting my eardrums.
I meant more of the backend stuff (am in IT).

Dan Patrick was the guy who said that we should sacrifice grandma and grandpa for the economy during COVID.

4·3 days agoThat’s a fair stance. My problem is people assuming it’ll be more of the same despite the DSA winning several seats.
We need fucking recall votes back.

5·3 days agoProbably because I was wrong and the neolibs are pulling from the Republican playbook. Not enough coffee yet, although it was partly a tongue in cheek comment.
My favorite Dafoe fact is that the director of the movie Antichrist made them use a penis double for him because they thought no one would believe his penis was that massive.
There was an episode of King of the Hill that’s loosely about this, although on the flip side.
The state fucks up and puts F as Hank’s sex on his DL, and he has to jump through massive hoops to get it fixed.
Glad my work didn’t actually delete all of the DEI stuff we were told to. We just hid it.

3·3 days agoCruz isn’t as blatantly corrupt. Paxton being impeached by his own party was a huge factor in the election. Hell, they even had Republican state representatives campaigning against Paxton.

26·3 days agoSocialism isn’t going to be implemented in a single election. It’s a goal that will take years to achieve.
But progressives destroying republicans is the first step towards it.

231·3 days agoHating Ken Paxton is pretty non-partisan. Fuel prices weren’t even mentioned in like 90% of campaign ads here.

Living expenses were certainly a factor, but if it was just that then democrats wouldn’t have won basically every state position, and basically every county wouldn’t have flipped blue.
Cost of living is usually the final straw that wakes people up to the fact that their representatives don’t actually represent them.
