I wasn’t attempting to disparage them. Because I get it. I don’t gamble, but I have my own destructive ways to get through the days. Just unfortunate that it’s the case.

I’m in my upper 20’s, I have a lot of friends I would honestly describe as having a gambling “issue”, it’s a spectrum, some are worse than others. However, I do find it interesting that my peers are so disenfranchised, they’d rather spend time and whatever limited money they have, trying to hit a lottery, rather than work and attempt to move through the social ladder or whatever.
Now, I say all of that, to say, how are we, as a society, okay with this? How is it that I would put my life trajectory in the hands of a digital slot machine? Well, the simple answer is capitalism.
The Roman’s thought it had to be “bread and circus” imagine how stupid they must feel, all you need is a circus to keep your population from coming together.
Anyway, rant over. This image makes me sad.

How does one do this?
Minnesota knows how big mosquitoes can get. However, that doesn’t lesson the impact of your statement.
I’m officially ready to be radicalized.
Current media and institutions already try to control the conversation and how people think, and I can see futures where AI could be used by those in power to do this more effectively.
You don’t think that’s already happening considering how Sam Altman and Peter Thiel have ties?

Had a bag at the head of my bed, woke up, still laying down, reached over my head to grab something out of it, went to pull back “down” and tore my rotator cuff. I was 20.
My state will see you in court.

Not that it helps organize, but I also work at a custom AR shop, if lemmings have questions about firearms I’d be happy to assist.
I live in an area with a large population of Amish, they fax everything.
I am not super socially adept by choice, however, when it comes to calls vs text, I would rather call like 9 times out of 10. I struggle with reading into how people come across over text. Especially people that I know in person. Plus, most my calls are like a minute or two long, I get all the information, and I don’t need to do this back and fourth and wait for the person to get back to me.
I think it should be akin to the market effect of PDA’s in the 90’s.
Well there’s your problem podcast. A podcast about engineering disasters; with slides.
