That actually makes me wonder if one or a few of the script writers have some autistic tendencies. I read something similar happened with the author of The Murderbot Diaries.

Out of curiosity, how do those stats look if you exclude white cis males?

That’s their dirty sink?! In this house, it stacks up until the faucet can’t swivel past them. Then you might start figuring out when to make time for them!

We run into this because we like to pre-soak things. Then we get busy with something else, another meal happens, those dishes also need to soak, and pretty soon everything is blocked by everything else.

The alternatives we see are:

• Don’t pre-soak: Maybe, but some things do kinda need it
• Only put things in that need soaked: Would be nice, but we also don’t always agree on what needs it. Plus, counter space is also at a premium in our house
• Finish the damn dishes every meal!: Would be nice! But, we have a lot of ADHD in our house, and kids besides - we have a lot of “and then life happened”

Right now our main upgrade we’re looking at one of those faucets that hangs over the sink, so it doesn’t get blocked by dishes so easily. Then it can stack higher before it’s a problem! :D

Yeesh, so many people grumbling about poor relationship dynamics. The whole joke is that it was all in his head - she teased him a little, and he put himself into a tailspin by losing an imaginary argument.

I’ve done that kind of thing a few times myself - my wife says something innocuous, and I read into it until I’ve gone completely off the rails. Has nothing to do with anything she’s done, it’s all to do with me misreading what’s happening and forecasting wrong without checking anything. That’s the joke.

Nah, if a cop charges her for that, she’d be right to contest it. Maybe it had fallen, and she tucked it in her lap to let her get safely clear of traffic before stowing it properly. Doesn’t matter if it’s likely or not, the burden of proof is on the accuser, and it’s not met here.

Let’s not let the police assume lawbreaking without clear proof, and lets especially not let them automate that accusation process!

Okay - so charge her with having an unsecured object in her vehicle.

The fine was for use of a phone while driving, when the phone was not in use. Not for having unsecured items in the vehicle. Not saying it’s a good idea to drive that way - it’s pretty clearly not - but that’s not the actual issue here

Her phone was face down, she wasn’t looking at it that we can see. All we know here is her hands were on the wheel, she was in her lane, and she wasn’t looking at her phone right then. Anything else is speculation without evidence.

That was what got me off - I kept feeling like I had to scroll much farther back to see the updates from friends I missed past what FB decided I should see, until I decided Facebook had made it no longer worth the effort
